Controversy Over The Oil Spill

 I agree with the information in Obama administration strongly criticized in BP oil spill report by Chris in Paris about how BP was used to much as a consultant concerning the oil spill.

The White House took a month to get to the oil spill after it happened because they didn’t want to deal with the crisis on New Orleans’s coast line and when they eventually did come around to it the White House tried to deal with it their own way and didn’t want to ask BP for their opinion on the fact or how BP wanted to clean up the spill. The White house Office of Management and Budget would not allow a request by the Nation Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to release “worst-case discharge figures” in late April early May. The civilians of New Orleans were furious when the White House would not release the worst case discharge because the oil was killing fish and not allowing the civilians to enjoy the beach and the ocean. Not to mention that the fish catching and crab catching was down and forced 1/3 of the people in that business out of work.

 One suggestion to solve this problem would be to make the president and everyone that is in the Obama campaign organization should be forced out of work for a month and see how they like it and maybe they will change their attitudes on things they think aren’t important but they are the most important thing to the American public.

                “One of my worst fears as they grow older is that they won’t be Googled well.” This sentence/quote is the first clue to me that that Richardson doesn’t like google and doesn’t want his kids being on Google 24/7. In the first three paragraphs he is stating that he doesn’t want them on google because google is less than impressive and it doesn’t make people think about what people but mostly his kids are doing.

                People are being judged and they pretty much have to be able to use a computer because everything is going to change if it hasn’t changed over to the internet. Me, school, teachers, are already being are being googled on a regular basis and almost or every person in America has used google  so everyone has been googled  in this article I think that Richardson was wrong about this statement “ to some extent your school’s being written without you, thanks to billions of us worldwide.”

                7 and 8 year olds are being affected by the internet and the other people in the world that are able to use Web technologies are having a huge influence on students who are lucky enough to have access to internet. This fact is the most astonishing to me because 80 percent of young people who are online are networking and that 70 percent of them are regularly talking education-related topics. And they are usually on either Facebook or MySpace. Most online tools are pretty much NOT TEACHING US ANYTHING. According to Richardson this is what is happening to America because majority but not all things on the internet are not true or fake. If it’s not true than it is what people think of the subject or the thing that you searched. If you get something that is fake than people are probably just messing with you and people get enjoyment out of that which I don’t understand

In Boulder Colorado a man who stabbed a CU freshman on campus. Campus has been deemed Kenton Astin not guilty by reason of insanity and has been committed to a state mental hospital.

 This kind of story is terrible to hear about. In 2007 this happened and we were just getting to find out if Kenton Astin was guilty or not guilty. Kenton Astin should be in a prison for his actions because this is saying to the public that people cam stab each other and get a good lawyer to make the judge think that you are mentally unstable. Another point is that he already was in a mental hospital but the doctors thought he wasn’t a threat to the public anymore and I think that they should and are the ones to blame for this incident. If I was the student I would sue the hospital that the man was admitted in. I mean these people have licenses and they can’t even due their own jobs.

In this article I have decided that the man that climbed this sky scraper doesn't have any common sense because he could have just taken an elevator to the top floor, take the stairs to the roof, and mounted the flag onto the top of the building without being arrested. If he would have just done that than he wouldn’t be in any trouble with the law. I think that he did this as a publicity stunt and he just wanted to get into the eye of other people so that he could be talked about by other people.

So I ask the question what is the world coming to? Is it coming to people that just climb buildings to put a flag at the top? Or is do people have the common sense to just use an elevator or take the stairs? The Question is mine but the world has the answer.

This video showes me that going to college isnt really that crutial to getting an important job because all they do is talk and they dont interact with their work that they are learning also they have to pay thousands of dollars for school, hundreads for books, and the books that they buy they barely even use them.
